About Me
This is easy ! I'm incurably curious about the world around me. I can't stop learning !!
I have an educational background in the Fine and Liberal Arts including Sociology and teaching English, then TESOL.
Disillusioned by my Liberal Arts earning potential, I took the opportunity to study for my MBA promising myself I'd major
in "hard-headed subjects." Thus I combined Finance with Quant Studies for a double major and went to Wall St ! Now
as a seasoned professional, I have found the Fine and Liberal Arts background in addition to the MBA allows me to advocate for unique solutions to business challenges. That brings me to today. I'm working with a mentor to formalize an alternative Project Management Method. Why ? There's a persistent and consistent 70% failure rate with existing PMMs even Agile. The cost of U.S. systems' failures in 2021 was $2 Trillion dollars. The incentive to complete and market my alternative PMM is huge ! : )
Education
Industry Expertise
20 years on Wall St. Developing and Supporting Equity and Fixed Income Trading Platforms. (MBA Finance and Quant Studies)
And, 6 years ESL Tutor/Teacher
My Coaching Details

3 years teaching English for at-risk high school students
5.5 years ESL writing Tutor for Int'l College students. For Business Executives we focus on the client's goals.
Coaching Style
I like to start working with professionals by asking questions ! Why are they seeking career input and what do they want to achieve while working with me ? What business/ESL common ground do they see we share ? What do they think may be blocking their progress to reach their goals ? (It's very important is to discuss a timeline for reaching goals and for staying on budget.) I can take these answers together and sketch out a plan of advancement. We'll share ideas on the plan together. Nothing in the plan is set in concrete. We can modify it if needed to reach our goals. I'll draw up "lesson plans." We'll use a few types of media for both learning and assignments We will have regular progress assessments to make sure we are on track. If not, we'll modify our plan.
LET ME CLARIFY A FEW THINGS. My 1 on 1 sessions carry negotiable pricing as a function of the duration of training, my preparation time for customizing lessons, and the complexity of the subject matter. My Business Discussion Groups are 1.5 hours covering Business Writing for a few scenarios. I'll start with 4 attendees. I may increase it to 6 depending on the work load. We'll do some group, partner work along with individual assignments. Please forward your questions or comments ! : )
